Independent Spirit Awards 2022: ‘The Lost Daughter’ & more among Winners

The Lost Daughter wins the award of the best feature, with Maggie Gyllenhaal, and Squid Game’s Lee Jung-jae among the winners.

The 27th annual Independent Spirit Awards took place this Sunday by Film Independent. The ceremony took place in Santa Monica and was hosted by Nick Offerman and Megan Mullally.

Maggie Gyllenhaal won the awards for the best screenplay and best director. There were several first-time nominees like Taylor Paige for the role of Zola, Troy Kotsur for the best supporting male actor in CODA, and the Squid Game cast.

On the TV side, Lee Jung-jae won the best male performance, after winning the SAG Awards last month. Other winners include Reservation Dogs and more.
