Is Sherbert Vegan?

Sherbert or Sherbet is a popular frozen dessert all over the world. It sure helps beat the summer heat. Sherbet is like ice cream with a low percentage of butterfat.

Unfortunately, Sherbert is not vegan, but Sorbet is. Think of Sorbet as a vegan cousin of Sherbet. Unlike Sherbet, Sorbet does not contain any dairy products, making it a great choice for those who are lactose intolerant.

What Is Sherbert Made Of?

Sherbert is made from:

  • Ice cream
  • Milk
  • Sugar
  • Gelatin
  • Fruit juice
  • Egg whites

I hope now there is no confusion regarding sherbert and you have an answer to is sherbert vegan. While sherbet is not vegan, sorbets are completely vegan and there are plenty of ways to make vegan sorbet at home without using any dairy product. I have mentioned the recipes for some of my favorite recipes. I hope you enjoy it.
